Robert Lee Butler

Robert Lee Butler, 83, of Baskett, KY passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at University Nursing and Rehab in Evansville, IN. He was born in Hopkins County, KY on December 27, 1933 to the late Noah Austin and Francis Gamblin Butler. 

He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Mr. Butler was a member of the Bakery and Confectionery Union and retired from Lewis Bros. Bakery after 25years.

Mr. Butler loved to garden and drive his Kubota tractor

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Anna Mae Jarvis Butler in 2016; two brothers; and one sister.

Mr. Butler is survived by his two daughters: Trish Majors of Newburgh, IN and Marie Trotter and her husband, Greg, of Henderson, KY; five sons and daughters in law: Robert and Vickie Butler, Mike and Margie Butler, and Mark and Chalon Butler all of Henderson, KY, Harold and Gina Butler of Haines City, FL, and Austin and Donna Butler of Lebanon, TN; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11:00am at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Rev. Harold Butler and Rev. Mark Compton officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Grove Church Cemetery in St. Charles, KY.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, and from 9:00 am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Mr. Butler’s grandsons: Robert Butler, Brad Butler, Ray Butler, Justin Butler, Caleb Butler and great grandson, Austin Butler.
