Mildred Fay (Brown) Gary

Mildred Fay Brown Gary, 83, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Baptist Health Madisonville. She was born in Carbondale, KY on April 24, 1934 to the late William Tyson Brown and Gertrude Parker Brown Franklin. 

She was a homemaker and a member of Suthards Baptist Church in Earlington, KY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hopkins Gary in 1994; her sons: Terry Gary and Leonard Wayne Gary; three brothers: Howard Brown, Morris Brown, and Curtis Brown; her sister, Evelyn Wilson; and grandson, Chris Gary.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Kingery and her husband, Brent of Madisonville, KY; her twin brother, Ray Brown of Earlington, KY and her brother, Garland Brown of Carbondale, KY; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one step great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 29, 2017 at 2:00pm at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Rev. David Brown officiating and burial to follow at Suthards Baptist Church Cemetery in Earlington, KY.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY and from 11:00 am until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gary’s grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
