Wylie B Rhye

Wylie B. Rhye, 88, of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville.

He was born in Carbondale, KY on March 21, 1935 to the late Isaac H. and Martha L. Rhye. 

Wylie had attended Earlington First Christian Church. He had retired from Fowler Builder and had worked for York International. He had been married to Daisy Rhye and had three children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tressa Rhye Browning; his brothers, Bill Rhye and Henry Rhye; and his sisters, Ethel Rhye Baize, Hettie Rhye Kembel, and Verda Rhye Cudworth.

Wylie is survived by two children, Lorna Rhye Howard and her husband, Shawn, of Clarksville, TN and Walter Rhye and his wife, Denise, of Dawson Springs, KY; three grandchildren, Kristen Browning, Katie Browning, and Jackson Howard; his former wife, Daisy Rhye; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Bro. Dennis Mayfield officiating and burial to follow at Old Suthards Cemetery in Suthards, KY.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 12:00 PM until service time at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Walter Rhye, Rick Conyers, Johnny Wix, Ronnie Simms, Shawn Howard, and Jackson Howard
