William Harold Lovan, 77, of Mortons Gap, KY passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Baptist Health Madisonville.
He was born in Mortons Gap, KY on March 27, 1941 to the late James R. and Lorene Lovan.
He was a lifetime member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap, KY.
He was a member of Woodman of the World.
He loved his family, enjoyed being on the farm, and playing cards with his friends.
He had owned Lovan’s IGA and Lovan’s Catering and Concessions.
He is survived by his wife, Joanna Lovan of Mortons Gap, KY; three daughters: Celissa Lovan, Cheryl Cates and her husband, David, and Christina Rodgers all of Mortons Gap, KY; three grandchildren: Chelsey Cates, Will Rodgers, and Gabrielle Lovan.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap, KY with Bro. Jerry Brewer officiating and burial to follow at Salem Church Cemetery in Mortons Gap, KY.
Visitation will be on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY and from 12:30 PM until service time on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Salem Missionary Baptist church.
Pallbearers will be: Will Rodgers, David Cates, Frank Latham, Austin Cruce, Darel Barnett, and Calvin Hunter. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bill Lacy, Bobby Gibson, and Bob Osburn.
Memorial contributions can be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
