Virginia Ruth Stearman

Virginia Ruth Stearman, 71, of Barnsley KY passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at her home.

She was born in Christian County, KY on January 18, 1950 to the late Lacey and Dannie Thomas. 

Mrs. Stearman attended Abundant Life Fellowship in Nortonville, KY. She had previously worked as manager of shoe department at K-Mart and had retired from the insurance department at Baptist Health.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Lee Combs; two brothers, Roy Thomas and Danny Hale Thomas; one grandson, Evan Combs.

Mrs. Stearman is survived by her husband, Larry Wayne Stearman of Barnsley, KY; four children: Jeff Stearman and his wife, Kim, of Louisville, KY, Kim Atkins of Texas, James Combs and his wife, Starr, of Madisonville, KY and Walter Clinton Combs of White Plains, KY; one brother, Joe Thomas and his wife, Ann, of Chillicothe, OH, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Abundant Life Fellowship in Nortonville, KY with Bro. Brad Payne officiating and burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville, KY.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at the church.
