Steven Lee Babb

Steven Lee Babb,68, of Earlington, KY, passed away on April 27,2026 at his home.

He was born on January 16, 1958 in Madisonville, KY to the late Charles Babb and Barbara Plummer of Madisonville, KY.

Steve was a member of Pritchett’s Chapel.  He had served in the United States Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 2 and the Earlington Fire Department. He had retired from Goldenrod.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers.

Steve is survived by his wife, Peggy Babb of Earlington, KY;  his mother, Barbara Plummer of Madisonville, KY; his step mother Faye Babb of Alabama; three daughters, Julie Lamb and her husband, Steven, of Dawson Springs, KY, Raven Payne and her husband, John, of Madisonville, KY, Vanessa Furgerson of Earlington, KY ; one son, Tom Furgerson and his wife, Charlotte, of Slaughters, KY ; three sisters, Cindy Emrah of Hopkinsville, KY, Denise Estes and her husband, Jeff, Philpot KY, “Cheetah” McElveen and her husband, Parker, of Alabama; one brother, Greg Green and his wife, Donna, of White Plains, KY; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Pritchett’s Chapel in Madisonville, KY with Bro. Steve Terry officiating and private burial at Oakwood cemetery in Earlington.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM
