Sadie Helen (Hamby) Lantrip

Sadie Helen Lantrip, 92, of St. Charles, KY passed away on July 3, 2025 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.

She was born on December 17, 1932 in Hopkins County, KY to the late William Benson and Deller Hamby.

Sadie attended Greenwood Community Church. She had worked at Davis Bestway in Dawson Springs and later as a volunteer at Regional Medical Center. She loved working jigsaw puzzles.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Lantrip; her son, Danny Ray Lantrip; two brothers Earl Hamby and Donald Hamby; one half-sister, Evelyn Morris.

Sadie is survived by her two children, Donna (Dennis) Mayfield of Earlington, KY and Jeff Lantrip of St. Charles, KY; brothers, Johnny Hamby of Dawson Springs, KY and Ralph Hamby of Nortonville, KY; five grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Cothran of Madisonville, KY, Jeff (Diana) Mayfield of Madisonville, KY, Logan Lantrip of Madisonville, KY, Zachary Lantrip of St. Charles, KY; and Sarah Lantrip of California; four great grandchildren, Will Cothran, Mollie Cothran, Hunter Mayfield, and Aiden Mayfield.  

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 6,2025 at 2:00PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Dennis Mayfield and Travis Hamby officiating and burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 1:00PM until service time at 2:00PM at the funeral home.

The Pallbearers will be Jeff Mayfield, Zach Lantrip, Will Cothran, Hunter Mayfield, Aiden Mayfield, Keagan Hatton, and Chris Cothran.
