Peggy Sue (Rickard) Fugate

Peggy Sue Fugate, 83, of Morton’s Gap KY passed away on May 24 2024, at her home in Morton’s Gap.  She was born in Suthards KY on January 16, 1941 to the (late) Edgar Lee Baize and Mable Rickard Baize. 

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Morton’s Gap.

She had worked at Cats Den restaurant in Nortonville. Was a member of the American Legion Women’s auxiliary.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Fugate, two brothers: Butch and Donnie Baize.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law; David and Cathy Fugate of Morton’s Gap, KY three sisters; Martha Hughlett of Nortonville, Dorothy Wells of Madisonville, and Sharon Wells of Nortonville, three Grandchildren; David Wayne Fugate, Melissa Kay Dawson (Trey), Shawna Fugate, two great grandchildren; Devina Dawson and Micah Dawson, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Rev. Len Young officiating, and burial to follow at Old Salem Cemetery in Morton’s Gap.

Visitation will be on Tuesday May 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM the funeral home.
