Opal Gladys Gamblin Coffman, 84, of Nortonville, KY passed away on February 10, 2017 at her home. She was born in Mortons Gap, KY on September 7, 1932 to the late Jess and Myrtle Vandiver Josleyn
She was a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap, KY.
She had worked at Speed Queen and had operated the former Shady Nook restaurant in Grapevine community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Edward Gamblin; her second husband, Roy Lee Coffman; her son, Larry Wayne Gamblin; and two sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Shirley and Joe Welsh of Madisonville, KY; her son and daughter in law; Dale and Judy Gamblin of Nortonville, KY; her brother, Odell Josleyn of Florida; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11:00am at Reid Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Bro. Jerry Brewer officiating and burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville, KY.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY and from 9:00 am until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
