Nancy Elizabeth (Lansden) Howell

Nancy Elizabeth Lansden Howell, 97, of Louisville, KY formerly of Earlington, KY passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Episcopal Church Home in Louisville. She was born in Union County, KY on April 15, 1919 to the late Hugh Phillip and Verena Thomas Lansden. 

She was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Earlington.

She had worked as an accountant at Campbell’s Parachute Factory and Enro Shirt Co. She had also worked retail at JC Penney, The Vogue, Woolworths, and Bryants Jewelry. She taught kindergarten at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for five years.  She had served on Alter Society and was a past president of the B&PW Club.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Howell; her grandson, Greg Allen; her brothers, George Lansden, Thomas Lansden, Joseph Lansden, and Robert Lansden.

She is survived by her two daughters, Frances Allen of Middleburg, FL and Catherine Haynes of Louisville, KY; her sister, Ann Guido of Owensboro, KY; two grandchildren, Erica (Eric) Haynes Maher and Jennifer (Jackson) Haynes Ball; two great grandchildren, Ethan Maher and Emma Maher; and one great granddaughter on the way, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 12:00pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Earlington, KY with Father David Kennedy officiating and burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington, KY.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 10:00am until 11:30am at Reid Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY.
