Mahala Sue Heltsley Fraser, 75, passed away Friday February 9, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Sue was born July 11, 1948 in Hopkins County to Edward and Gladys Byrum Heltsley. She graduated from Earlington High School in 1966. She was also a graduate of Murray State University.
Sue celebrated her 75th birthday in Walt Disney World with her grandchildren. She loved all the special attention she received: birthday serenades from cast members as well as an entire bus full of people. Nana will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fraser; her brother, John Heltsley and an infant son, David Fraser. She is survived by her son Derek Fraser (Kimberly) and four grandchildren Julia, Benjamin, Declan and Cecelia of Louisville, KY.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday February 17, 2024 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington with Pastor George Love officiating. Her burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington. Her visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Friday February 16, 2024 and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Earlington Methodist Church.
