Madolyn E (Almon) Stringer

Madolyn Eldridge Stringer,97, of Earlington, KY passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024 at her home.

She was born on October 10, 1927 in Mortons Gap, Ky to the late Clint and Mattie Almon.

Madolyn was a member of Earlington First Baptist Church in Earlington, KY; where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the choir and the Women’s Missions group. She retired from the Enro Shirt Factory where she worked as a department supervisor.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband George E. Stringer; one son, George A. Stringer; and her brothers and sisters.

Madolyn is survived by her daughter, Melony Knott of Earlington, KY; six grandchildren, Christina (Kent) Werner, Adrian (Cassie) Stringer, Ashley (Brad) Brown, Aaron (Stephanie) Knott, Brian (Shelley) Stringer, and AJ (Peyton) Knott; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Reid-Walters Funeral home in Earlington, KY with Chris Clarke officiating and burial to follow at Oakwood cemetery in Earlington, KY.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 11:00Am until service time at 1:00PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Madolyn’s grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Earlington First Baptist Church Building Funds. Contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
