Kerby Parish, 80, of Manitou, KY passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Madisonville Health and Rehab in Madisonville, KY
She was born in Livermore, KY on August 10, 1938 to the late Rev. Roy A. Ridenour and Mildred Burton Ridenour.
She was a member of Providence General Baptist Church in Providence, KY, and was a dedicated servant of the General Association of General Baptist and Union Association.
She was a retired teacher of 35 years with the Hopkins County School System and taught future teachers at Murray State University Madisonville Campus for 13 years.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Howard Parish of Manitou, KY; her two children: Allen Parish and his wife, Teresa, of Manitou, KY and Von Parish of Nashville, TN; one brother, Hugh Ridenour and his wife, Carolyn, of Hanson, KY; two grandchildren: Lindie Ashby and her husband, Jared, of Hanson, KY and Jayde Parish of Madisonville, KY; and two great grandchildren: Mia Ashby and Parker Ashby.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Providence General Baptist Church in Providence, KY with Rev. Barry Cullen officiating and Rev. Curtis Yarbrough assisting. Burial will follow at Concord General Baptist Church Cemetery in Manitou, KY.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Providence General Baptist Church and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the church.
Pallbearers will be: Hugh Ridenour, Jared Ashby, Alvin Russ, Jerry Russ, Rick Householder, Glenn Reynolds, and Jason King
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Oakland City University School of Education. 138 N. Lucretia St. Oakland City, IN 47660. Envelopes will be made available at the church.
