Joanna Gail (Osburn) Lovan

Joanna Gail Osburn Lovan, 83, of Mortons Gap, KY passed away on August 7, 2025 Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, IN.

  She was born in Madisonville, KY on December 5, 1941 to the late John and Tina Osburn. 

She was a lifetime member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap and a member of Woodman of the World. Joanna was the owner of Lovan’s IGA and Lovan’s Tax Service.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Lovan; one sister, Sharon Gibson; and one brother, Bob Osburn.

Joanna is survived by her three daughters Celissa Lovan, Cheryl Cates and her husband, David, and Christina Rodgers all of Mortons Gap, KY; three grandchildren, Chelsey Cruce and her husband, Austin, Will Rodgers, and Gabrielle Lovan; two great grandchildren Grayson Cruce and Lainey Cruce; and one niece.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 2:00PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Bro. Jerry Brewer officiating and burial to follow at Salem Church Cemetery in Mortons Gap.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 12:00PM until service time at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Will Rodgers, Austin Cruce, Tony Rodgers, Bobby Gibson, Allen Korinta, and Darrell Barnett.  Honorary Pallbearer will be David Cates.
