Jimmy D. Cardwell, 82, of Nortonville, KY passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023. He was born in Morgantown, KY on June 3, 1940 to the late James and Lillie Cardwell.
He attended The Sanctuary in Nortonville, KY and had worked as a carpenter and carpet layer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy “Andy” Cardwell.
Mr. Cardwell is survived by his wife, Betty Cardwell of Nortonville, KY; his daughters, Cindy Maxwell of Valley Head, AL, Pam Cardwell of Minton, AL, Donna Cardwell of MO; Penny Fugate and her husband, Jonathan, of Nortonville, KY; and Tracy Clark of Nortonville, KY; his sons, Mark Cardwell and his wife, Silvia, of Radcliff, KY and Justin Cardwell of Bowling Green, KY; one sister, Jennie Hill and her husband, Eddie, of Benton, KY; twenty grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Bro. Frankie Cotton officiating and Rev. Monte Fuller assisting, and burial to follow at Lake Grove Cemetery in St. Charles, KY.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 10:00AM until service time at 1:00PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY.
Pallbearers will be Henry Francis, Ronald Clark, David Clark, Timothy Kassinger, Herman Harris, and Charlie Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Cook, Dallas Cook, and David Darnell.
