Jean (Oldham) Wiley

Jean Oldham Wiley, 99 of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Madisonville, KY, passed away at Mercy South Hospital on Sunday February 4, 2024.

She was born in Madisonville, KY on September 19, 1924 to the late Jefferson Davis (Jeff) Oldham and Arah Maude (Campbell) Oldham.

Jean was of the Baptist faith, and attended churches in Madisonville as well as in St. Louis. Jean worked for Ligon Specialized Haulers for more than 50 years in various office capacities. After retirement she spent her days enjoying spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. She also enjoyed having coffee on her porch with friends and neighbors and taking care of her numerous house plants.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Jean (Hibbs) Johnston, her sisters, Etta Elizabeth Long (Marvin) and Ola Pearl Waggoner (Austin) of Louisville, KY; Sarah Madelyn Furgerson (Lawson) of St. Louis, MO; and brother Jack Kenneth Oldham of Mortons Gap, KY.

She is survived by her son James Edward Wiley and his wife Connie of Buford, GA, daughter Susan Olga- Lynne (Preston Wiley) Mallott of St. Louis, MO, granddaughters Jennifer Dawn (Johnston) Mumm and husband Richard, Kimberly Ann (Wiley) Dillard, Kylee Elizabeth McNail, grandsons Robert Jefferson Wiley, Christopher Joseph Jordan and wife Shannon, Thomas Edwin Henry Ill, Christian William Henry, Grayson Joe Henry and Jacob Tyler Campbell; great grandchildren Michelle, Alex, Maggie, Patrick, Matthew, Owen, Tyler, Taylor, Anna Grace and great- grandchildren Isaiah, Zachary, Winnie Jean, Kaylon and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 9th, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Grapevine Cemetery, Madisonville, KY with Bro. Dennis Mayfield officiating.
