Iris Gill

Iris Gill, 93, of Earlington, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

She was born on May 21, 1932 in Suthards, KY to the late Dexter and Maude Gill

Iris was a member of Suthards Baptist Church in Suthards, KY, and was a member of the Eastern Star. She retired from Island Creek Coal Company where she had worked as a switchboard operator.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Charles Gill, Mary Helen Furgerson, Mable Jeffers, Betty Hawkins, James Gill, Dorothy Gill, and John Dudley Gill.

Iris is survived by her brother, Pete Gill of Newburgh, IN; her niece and caregiver, Amber Crook and her husband, Michael, of Earlington, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 1:00PM at Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington, KY with Bro. George Brooks officiating.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY

Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International. Contribution envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
