Charlotte "Lanie" Elaine (Smith) Coffman

Charlotte “Lanie” Elaine Coffman, 80, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, IN.

She was born on July 6, 1944 in Madisonville, KY to the late Clevland E. and Ida L. Smith

Charlotte was a member of Lake Grove General Baptist Church in St. Charles, KY where she was a children’s Sunday School teacher, and pianist for the church for many years. She had worked as a legal secretary for local attorneys.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Kristi Elaine Coffman; her sister, Helen Mae McKnight; and her brother, Billy Gene Smith.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Darrell Coffman of Madisonville, KY; one daughter, Nicole Coffman of Madisonville, KY; several nieces and nephews; and her friends and church family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Rev. Charles Brooks officiating and burial to follow at Lake Grove Cemetery in St. Charles, KY.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 11:00AM until service time at 2:00PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Coffman, Marty Coffman, Jerry Coffman, Jake McKnight, Craig Alan Smith, and David Wallace

Honorary Pallbearer is Craig McKnight.
