Charles E. Bell, 81, of Hanson, KY, formerly of Lebanon, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
He was born in Knoxville, TN on August 24, 1942 to the late Sam L. and Catherine Bell.
Mr. Bell was of the Church of Christ faith and had served in the United States Navy. He had graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn, MI. Mr. Bell had retired from Animax Designs in Nashville, TN where he had worked as a machinist. He had also worked as a machinist for the TVA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Swaford Bell and his brother, Fred Bell.
He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Bell (fiancé Robert Pascuzzi)of Tok, AK; two sons, Douglas (Lisa) Bell of Oklahoma City, OK and Shannon (Penney) Bell of McKinney, TX; two stepdaughters, Melynda Gasser and Dana Gasser both of Lebanon, TN; one sister, Charlotte Bell of Knoxville, TN; nine grandchildren: Elizabeth (Jacob) Rickard, Joshua (April) Bell, Andrew (Sarah) Bell, Rebekah(Jacob) Burley, Anna (Caleb) Nichols, Philip (Evelyn) Bell, Jesse Bell, Bethany (John) Moczygemba, and Huxley (Dot) Bell; nineteen great grandchildren; very close cousin, Leonard (Shirley) Hutchinson; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military rites will be private at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
A receiving of friends will be held on Thursday, December 14,2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the College Hills Church of Christ Fellowship Hall located at 1401 Leeville Pike in Lebanon, TN.
Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
