Billy Joe Huddleston

Billy Joe Huddleston, 87, of Barnsley, KY passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.

He was born in Hopkins County, KY on February 3, 1936 to the late Ernest “Red” and Geneva Hartline Huddleston. 

Billy was a retired coal miner who had worked at Ziegler and Island Creek mines and was a member of UMWA. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. He loved his dog, Pistol.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty McManus and one brother, Dallas Huddleston.

Billy is survived by his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Huddleston of Barnsley, KY; one daughter, Martha Davis of Mortons Gap. KY; one sister, Glenda Sutton of Barnsley, KY; two grandchildren, J.R. Davis and Keri Davis; five great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Roy Conley officiating, and burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington, KY.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the funeral home.
