Billy Wayne Gamblin

Billy Wayne Gamblin, 77, of Mortons Gap, Kentucky

 passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Dawson Springs Health and rehab in Dawson Springs., He was born in White City, Kentucky on Wednesday, January 15, 1947, to the (late) Horace Owen Gamblin and Bertha Fork Gamblin. 

He was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Army Veteran having served two and a half tours in Vietnam.

He had worked at Don Fletcher Construction. Billy enjoyed hunting and fishing and Nascar.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son; Owen Gamblin, brothers and sisters, Dean Fugate, Gaynell Doris, Frank F.G. Gamblin, Junior J.R. Gamblin, Kenneth Gamblin.

He is survived by his wife; Sharon Gamblin, Two grandchildren; Lexi and Brady Gamblin, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Pastor Scott Heltsley officiating and burial to follow at Gamblin Cemetery in Nortonville, KY with military rites by 101st. Airborne Ft. Campbell and Hopkins County Honor Guard.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Shawn Martin, Brandon Lee, David Gibson, Randy Combs, Craig Burchfield and Michael Burchfield, Honorary Pallbearer will be Don Fletcher.
