William David “Crockett” Bean, 66, of Central City, KY passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville.
He was born in Madisonville, KY on January 23, 1953 to the late William Estel Bean and Geneva Bloodworth Bean.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #608, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
He retired from the State Department of Corrections where he had worked as a correction officer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Ricky A. Bean, Noble Nixon, and Cecil Nixon; two sisters: Helen Adams and Lisa Bean.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Denise Bean of Central City, KY, his son, Christopher Bean and his wife Megan of Dawson Springs, KY; one sister, Cora Mae Bean of St. Charles, KY; seven grandchildren: Payton, Breanna, Preston, Kayelin, Hayden, Jaxson, and Lillian; one great grandchild, Maya Ann and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Rev. Speedy Bean officiating and Rev. Danny Earl assisting. Burial will follow at Christian Privilege Cemetery in St. Charles, KY.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
