NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- Sybil Lorene Wyatt, 95, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at The Historic Villages of Silvercrest in New Albany surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Todd County, Kentucky, to Frances Elizabeth Phipps Tucker and Clarence Herbert Tucker on March 24, 1923. She spent most of her life in Earlington and graduated from Earlington High School in 1941. She then moved to Louisville and worked for the H.L. Green Co. and attended Bryant-Stratten Business College. She married James Hudson Wyatt of Earlington on Dec. 1, 1942. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband on Nov. 20, 1985, after 43 years of marriage; her parents; and one brother, Herbert Ray Tucker.
She moved to Georgetown, Indiana, in 1990. She was a longtime member of Earlington First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
She is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Connie Wyatt Robertson and Hanson Robertson of New Albany, with whom she lived for 41/2 years; her son, James Roddy Wyatt and his wife, Cheryl Wyatt, of Elkton, Florida; her grandson, Ryan Hanson Robertson and his wife, Kathy, of Greenville, Indiana; her granddaughter, Jane Wyatt Scott, and her husband, Charles Scott, of Okatie, South Carolina; her sister, Louise Blanks, of Mortons Gap; and her brother, Joe Lee Tucker, of Dawson Springs. She also is survived by her great-grandchildren, Caralynn and Carleigh Scott; step great-grandchildren Ashley, Chris and Terry; step great-great-grandchildren Naomi and Alex; her very special nieces and nephews, Beverly Clevenger, Becky Starks and Steven Blanks and their families; and many other nieces and nephews.
At Mrs. Wyatt's request, she will be buried at Oakwood Cemetery, Earlington, with a private family graveside service.
Remembrances in Mrs. Wyatt's memory may be sent to the National Heart Association or Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
