Marie (Overton) Faulk

Marie Overton Faulk, 89, of Earlington, KY passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at NHC Healthcare in Madisonville, KY. She was born in Earlington, KY on October 6, 1927 to the late William Anthony and Minnie Marie Wright Overton. 

She was a member of Earlington Assembly of God church. She loved crochet, knitting, trivia games, and was an avid bowler.

Mrs. Faulk was the owner of Marie’s Beauty shop in Earlington, KY, where she had also worked as a beautician.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Frank Faulk; her sisters: Altie Cockrill, Martha Wright, Bea Cartwright, Geneva Presnell, and Eunice Ashby.

Mrs. Faulk is survived by her son, Tony Faulk and his wife, Carolyn of Madisonville, KY; one sister,  Aliene Morgan of Earlington, KY; one brother, James Overton of Madisonville, KY; two granddaughters: Misti Hight and her husband, Rick of Madisonville, KY and Amy Smith and her husband Tim of Earlington, KY; four great grandchildren: Aaron Hight and his wife, Emily, Mallorie Hight, Abbi Rogers, Allee Rogers; two great-great grandchildren: Ethan Cornwell and Livie Kate Cornwell; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00pm at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Rev. Karen Wix officiating, and burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington, KY.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 10:00am until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Aaron Hight, Rick Hight, Tim Smith, Alan Morgan, Tommy Wix, and Mel Love.  Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Dale Morgan and Curtis Johnston.
