Gerald “Doc” Lemon Jarvis, 74, of Earlington, KY passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 at his home.
He was born in Nortonville, KY on January 6, 1945 to the late Paul and Arvana Swan Jarvis.
He was a member of Pritchetts Chapel where he attended regularly as his health allowed.
He was a United States Army Veteran.
He was a retired construction worker and over the road truck driver.
He loved to fish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Deloris Jarvis; an infant daughter, Patricia Elaine Jarvis; two brothers, Donnie Jarvis and Bill Jarvis; one sister, Pearl Camplin.
He is survived by his wife, Lois J. Jarvis of Earlington, KY; his children: Bobby Selph and his wife, Ludi, of Hudson, FL, Tammy Jarvis Stokes of Nortonville, KY, Rodney Jarvis and his wife, Janie, of Madisonville, KY, Steven Jarvis and his wife, Roxanne, of Sebree, KY; step children: Frank Cope and his wife, Kriston, of Madisonville, KY and Chana Irvin of Dawson Springs, KY; two brothers: Fred Jarvis and his wife, Becky, of Nortonville, KY and Sonny Jarvis of Earlington, KY; three sisters: Betty Camplin and her husband, Don, of Madisonville, KY, Nora Bell Aldridge of Nortonville, KY, and Alma Ray of Madisonville, KY; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Rev. Steve Terry officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 10:30 AM until service time at Noon at the funeral home.
