Dorothy Mae (Smith) Suthard

Dorothy Mae Smith Suthard, 91, of Earlington, KY passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at her home. She was born in Hopkins County, KY on May 29, 1927 to the late Archie Smith and Mabel Rogers Smith. 

She was a member of Madisonville General Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and had played the organ for Reid-Walters Funeral Home for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Odell Suthard in 1978; her sister, Mary Smith; and a grandson, Scott Lamb.

She is survived by her three children: Barbara Lamb and her husband, Buck, of Madisonville, KY, Patsy Daugherty of Hanson, KY, and Jim Suthard and his wife, Roxie, of Madisonville, KY; four grandchildren: David Lamb, Amy Polley, Jason Suthard, and Bethany Suthard; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Bro. Dennis Mayfield officiating and burial to follow at Lake Grove Cemetery in St. Charles, KY.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY and from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Lamb, Justin Lamb, Jason Suthard, Austin Suthard, Ian Polley, and Eli Polley.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesse Suthard and Levi Suthard.
