Delila Faye Coakley, 74 of Mortons Gap KY, entered into heaven with her lord and savior on March 7th, 2018. She was born in White City KY, on August 13th, 1943 to the late Calvin and Hilda Huff DeMoss.
She attended The River in Nortonville KY, was a graduate of South Hopkins High school class of 1962, a member of Woodman of the world, lodge #396, a service desk clerk at Grandmas Kitchen, and was a member of the South Hopkins Saddle Club.
She had worked at Enrow Shirt Factory, and as a school bus driver for the Hopkins County School System.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Marshall Owen Coakley in 2008, and one brother, Jerry DeMoss.
She is survived by two children, Michael Coakley and his wife Kim of Mortons Gap KY, Wendy Smith and her husband Clayton of Mortons Gap KY, one sister, Glenda and her husband (Eugene) McKinney of Bluff Springs KY, two brothers, Donald DeMoss of Madisonville KY, and Darrell DeMoss and his wife Judy of Mayfield KY, Seven Grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Madisyn Coakley, Ashley Utley, Tyler Burns, Krystal Kavanaugh, Kevin Kavanaugh, Amanda Smith, four Great Grandchildren, Shelby Smith, Chelsey Steiner, Haley Hunt, Jasmine Rodgers, one Great-Great Grandchild, Serenity Steiner, and several nieces and nephews as well as her puppy-dog Gizmo.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 9th, 2018 at 1:00pm at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Rev. Terry Barnes officiating and burial to follow at New Suthards Church Cemetery in Suthards KY.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 8th, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Reid Walters Funeral Home Earlington KY and from 9:00 am on Friday until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Jeff DeMoss, Aaron DeMoss, Tyler Burns, Lennie Harris, Kevin Kavanaugh, and Roger Coakley. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Richard Cunningham, Hannah Smith, and Madisyn Coakley
The family would like to invite friends and family to the second Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Mortons Gap Immediately following the service.
