Colleen (Powers) Mayfield

Colleen Powers Mayfield, 88, of Madisonville, KY formerly of Hancock County, KY passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at Ridgewood Terrace in Madisonville, KY.  She was born in Hancock County, KY on March 26, 1929 to the late Dewey and Sadie Jackson Powers.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Lewisport First Baptist Church in Lewisport, KY.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Mayfield in 1996; an infant daughter, Karen Faye Mayfield; one son, Dewey Mayfield; three brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by, her son, Dennis Mayfield and his wife, Donna of Earlington, KY; daughter in law, Charlene Mayfield of Tell City, IN; one sister, Barbara Atwood of Cloverport, KY; four grandchildren: Amy Cothran of Madisonville, KY, Jeff Mayfield of Madisonville, KY, David Mayfield of Tell City, IN and Jeremy Mayfield of Tell City, IN; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11am at Lewisport First Baptist Church in Lewisport, KY with Bro. Arthur Morris officiating and burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hawesville, KY.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Reid-Walters Funeral home in Earlington, KY and from 9:00am until service time at the Lewisport First Baptist Church.
