Stephen Owen Hartline

Stephen Owen Hartline, 58 ,  of Fitzgerald, GA , formerly of Earlington, KY, passed away on March 13, 2024 at his home.

He was born in Madisonville, KY on May 13, 1965 to Daniel and Janet Hartline of Earlington, KY.  

Stephen graduated from South Hopkins High School class of 1983. He was a US Army Veteran having served in the special forces with the “Night Stalkers”. He was baptized at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Earlington, KY. and was a member of Satilla Baptist Church in Wray, GA.

Stephen was an avid hunter, animal lover, loved nature and being outside. He loved UK basketball.

He worked at Americold Logistics as a commercial refrigerator technician.

 He was preceded in death by his first born infant son Matthew Stephen Hartline.

Stephen is survived by his parents, Daniel and Janet Hartline of Earlington, KY; his four children, Shawn Hartline and his wife Amber of Enterprise, AL, Benjamin Hartline of Rhode Island,  Cara Silver and her husband Dustin of Broxton, GA, Gracee Hartline of Alabama; one sister, Lisa Mauk and her husband Mark of Madisonville, KY; one brother, Danny Hartline and his wife Vicky of Madisonville, KY; one grandchild, Hunter Rhett Hartline and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be Monday, March 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Rev. Ed Bevill officiating and burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington, KY.

Visitation will be on March 18, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be:  Gabe  Starks, Nathan Starks, Tyler Hartline, Seth Hartline, Dale Starks and Ethan Lane.

Memorial contributions can be made to: The Humane Society of your choice, St Jude’s Childrens Hospital or Shriners Hospital.
