Shirley Jean (Burnes) Franklin

Shirley Jean Burnes Franklin, 72, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Dawson Springs Health and Rehab. She was born in Madisonville, KY on February 27, 1945 to the late James Noah and Eunice Mae McGregor Burnes.  

She had worked at Bremner Cookie Factory in Princeton, KY.

She is survived by three children: Marcella Bruce of Arkansas, Tamberly Franklin of Madisonville, and Stephanie Rodgers of Madisonville; a sister, Mary Chamberlain, and a brother, Paul Curtis Burnes; four grandchildren: Ariel Whitehead of Arkansas, Johnathon Franklin, Zackarius Franklin, and Coleman Rodgers of Madisonville; four great-grandchildren: Rachel, Cayden, Zander, Claire and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:00am at Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville, KY with  Russell Kline officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY is in charge of the arrangements.
