Norma E. Gates

Mrs Norma E Gates, 90, of White Plains, Kentucky passed away on March 17, 2017 at her home in Ohio. The widow of James E Gates now joins him. The couple were married 65 years.

Mrs Norma Gates, as well as James, have been Christians since childhood. She was a servant to her Lord above all, then upon adopting their daughter Sabrina Joy Gates-Morrow, on June 28, 1967, she filled the shoes of the perfect mother. Ever kind and loving, she never weaned to anger nor malice, but remained consistent in her walk with God and love for her family.

She is both survived and loved forever by her daughter Sabrina, her son in law Ricky, whom she called "son," her granddaughter Ashley, grandson Christopher, and his wife Meghann. In life, Mrs Gates also gained 3 great grandchildren, Kamden James, Issac Lee, and Eli Daniel, sons of Christopher and Meghann Morrow.

Though dearly missed, as her family we now know she rests with the Lord. She is rejoined with her only love, James, and all who've gone before. We will miss your sweet smile and constant love, yet we know one day, we will meet again.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 1:00pm at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Kenny Morrow officiating and burial to follow at Concord Cemetery in White Plains, KY.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and from 11:00 am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
