James Tracy Hibbs

James Tracy Hibbs, 53, of Dawson Springs, KY lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his home. He was born in Madisonville, KY on February 21, 1964 to the late James “Jimmy” Hibbs and Linda Sue Caraway Key.

He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather, loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed cooking and grilling.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and told it like it was.  He will be truly missed.

Tracy had worked as a truck driver for Tom Sisk Logging.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Robbie” Hibbs and his granddaughter, Katelynn Gipson.

He is survived by his wife, Amber Kay Hibbs of Dawson Springs, KY, his two sons: Daniel Hibbs McCarty, Jesse James Hibbs of Dawson Springs, KY; his three daughters: Amber Hibbs of Camden, IN, Brandy Hibbs Allison, and her husband, Sam, of Earlington, KY, and Cheyenne Avery Hibbs;  one sister, Shanda Hibbs Gautney, and her husband, Stan, of Kuttawa, KY; eight grandchildren; two nephews Matt Brasher and his wife, Lauren; and Jacob Brasher; one niece, Raven Brigman; and several great nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Dawson Springs Community Center with Clay Earl officiating.
